We have been invited to shag baseball for batting practice for the Pitssburgh
Pirates at their Spring Training Facility, "Pirate City" on Tuesday, Feburary 22, 2011
at 11:15.
We have the 15 participants that we need, but have established a waiting list in
case of last minute cancellations.
The Pirates will supply caps and t-shirts. PLEASE have your signed Pittsburgh Pirates
waiver form with you. I will try to have a few extra copies with me, just in case.
I know that I do not need to say this, but “for the record”:
- You will be representing our League and we want to be invited back, as well as to
encourage other activities with them;

I would like everyone to wear “warm-up” pants (preferably black) or something as similar
as you already have. I believe that they do NOT want us to wear baseball pants.

I would like everyone to wear a gray “undershirt” if you already have one or a black
“undershirt” if you don’t have a gray but have a black one.

You should wear turf shoes or similar flat athletic shoes. I believe that they do NOT
want us to wear metal or rubber cleats.

I believe that family and friends can watch from the “public viewing areas”.

PLEASE!!!! ABSOLUTELY NO AUTOGRAPHS OR POSED PICTURES except from and in the “public
viewing areas” and ONLY after the BP and AFTER you have taken off the t-shirt that
they are providing.

Let's honor our hosts by NOT wearing logo merchandise from ANY other team (of any kind) and
by NOT looking like we think that we are part of their organization.
We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
We plan on having brunch at Mixon's Fruit Farms Deli just south of Pirate City at 9:30.
We encourage all participants, family and friends to meet there.
If your schedule changes, the please let us know ASAP. We have a waiting list and
we will need to provide the Pirates with the names of any substitutes.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY PARTICIPATION OR CONTINUED PARTICIPATION BY ANY PERSON,
AT ANY TIME AND FOR ANY REASON IN OUR SOLE DISCRETION.
