Dear Friend,

&= nbsp; The Manatee Adult Baseball League Charitable Trust asks for your help in sponso= ring a free baseball clinic for underprivileged children aged 8 to 16 years staf= fed by volunteers.

&= nbsp; The clinic will be presented on January 16^th, 2010 at Lakewood Ranch Park Baseball Fields. We expect to accommodate 96 children and their parent= or guardian.

&= nbsp; Among other topics, the presentations will include:

Athletic Health and Safety

Baseball Skills

Parenting the Young Athlete (for the pa= rent or guardian)

Learning Opportunities Presented by Inappropria= te Behaviors (for the parent or guardian)

&= nbsp; We hope to be able to present each child with a Clinic t-shirt, Clinic baseball cap and perhaps an inexpensive glove, bat and ball (funding permitting). Our budget, without equipment given to the children, is approximately $5,000. A= ll money raised will be used for the clinic and for gifts to the children.
